Terms of Service

Egocentric API (“Service”) is currently in preview. Features, pricing, data availability, and API surface may change without notice. There is no service-level agreement (SLA) during the preview period. Build AI makes no guarantees regarding uptime, data completeness, or continued availability of the Service.

Data accessed through the Service is licensed for non-commercial research and development purposes only. You may use the data to train models, conduct experiments, and publish academic results. You may not redistribute, sublicense, sell, or make the raw data available to third parties without prior written consent from Build AI. Derivative works (trained models, embeddings, extracted features) are permitted.

During the preview period, details of the Service — including API endpoints, data formats, pricing, and internal documentation — are confidential. You agree not to disclose these details publicly or to any third party without Build AI’s prior approval. This obligation survives termination of your account.

By creating an account, you grant Build AI permission to reference your name, institutional affiliation, and general nature of your use case in marketing materials, case studies, investor communications, and on the Build AI website. Build AI will not disclose proprietary research details without your explicit consent. You may request removal of your name from marketing materials at any time by emailing eddy@build.ai.

You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and account credentials. You agree to notify Build AI immediately of any unauthorized use. Build AI is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

Build AI may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Upon termination, your API keys will be revoked and you must cease use of any data obtained through the Service, except for derivative works already incorporated into your research. Build AI may delete your account data after termination.

Build AI reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on your account. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
